Click on "Register" at the top of the page and fill the form.
Click on your username at the top of the page - on the submenu click on create Project
If you view your own projects while logged in you have a number of buttons on the right side under your project specifications. Click on edit project and you can edit almost all your project information.
When you are done editing remember to press Save
On top of your map specifications there are 2 buttons to update your file. Select your file with the first one and press the other one to upload.
Click on "Projects" on the top of the page. You see a list of projects.
You can either click on the button that's on the far right of every project on the list or you can click on a project and click the download button on the right side.
After you have downloaded the map you have to put it in the correct folder.
If it's an archive you need to extract it first!
You need to put the .map file (the .localization file too if provided) in to the following directory:
(more specifically: \Users\%username%\Documents\Cobalt\maps)
Linux (with Wine)
Warning: The maps directory is not created by default, you need to create is yourself!
Restart your game and head to User Maps, there you go!
Some maps provide custom music. In order to install those you need to copy the music file (usuallly a .ogg file) into: %cobaltInstallDir%\daisyMoon\music
The %cobaltInstallDir% on windows is usually: C:\Program Files (x86)\Oxeye Games\Cobalt
